There’s a certain thrill that comes with seeing a band just as they start to outgrow the smaller stages, and on Saturday night in Devizes, Dead Zebras were that band.

The crowd packed in early, and by the time the lights dropped and the first chord hit, the atmosphere was already electric. Frontman George didn’t waste time warming up the room, he owned it from the off, while Ky’s guitar work brought the kind of grit and flair that makes you stop mid-pint and pay attention. Jamie and Lukas held it all down with a rhythm section that was tight, punchy, and totally dialled in.

A surprise highlight came with their take on “Let Me Entertain You”. Covers can be risky, but Dead Zebras didn’t just cover it, they claimed it. They took Robbie’s swagger, stripped it down, roughed it up, and threw it back with a snarl. It was cheeky, tight, and honestly better than it had any right to be.

There’s no doubt about it, Dead Zebras are on the rise. They’re tight, confident, and clearly having the time of their lives on stage. If Saturday night in Devizes is anything to go by, this band’s not just one to watch, they’re one you’ll want to say you saw before everyone else caught on.
